"it would be fair to say 'occupied by the Mcdonald family in conjunction with their employment at Trow Quarry in the late 1800s and early 1900s, they also for a time lived at the Thatched Cottage located on the top of Trow rock close to the replica gun.' I know your picture is accurate as long ago I was shown a photo of it. My grandfather and great aunt were both born in the nest on Christmas Days either side of 1900!"
