LADIES AND GENTLEMEN
In compliance with the solicitation of a large number of the electors, I have decided to allow myself to be nominated as a candidate at the ensuing election.
Having been a resident in the Town for the whole of my life, and connected with many important Institutions, I can fairly claim to thoroughly understand the requirements of the Borough In general and your Ward in particular I fully recognise the great responsibility of a representative on the Council, and if honoured with your confidence, will promote in every possible way all questions that tend to increase the comfort and add to the prosperity and general welfare of the inhabitants.
Yours faithfully

THOMAS STEPHENSON
