Sandy Bay Caravan Park Is located close to Newbiggin by The Sea in Northumberland and is a great place for your self catering holiday. The holiday park boasts of  a Heated Indoor Pool, Water Resorts Programme, Sparky's Krew for 5-11 year olds, Adventure Playground, Sports Court, Sports Resorts Programme, Darts, Pool Tables, Amusements Arcade, Village Shop, Launderette, Boathouse Restaurant, Food Choice Takeaway, The Bayside Entertainment Centre including The Beach Show Bar and Boathouse Bar. Staying at Sandy Bay Caravan Park is a great place to use as a base if you would like tour around Northumberland, some of the places to visit are Cresswell Beach, Craster for the famous smoked kippers, the old market towns of Morpeth & Alnwick, Bamburgh Castle which was part of the location of the film El Cid with Charlton Heston, The Holy Island of Lindisfarne and try a bit of the old English mead, back down the coast in Tyne & Wear you can visit Newcastle Upon Tyne for some great night life or wander around the shops. We have also found that our caravan is in a useful location for accommodation for the Great North Run
