| Anchor Trust is the largest provider of housing for the elderly, in the the private sector. We are a charity and a not for profit making organisation. In South Shields alone Anchor has five sheltered accommodation schemes namely: |

If you have a family member or friend who needs something more, i.e. maybe 24-hour care, then Anchor provides care in Anchor Homes. Namely, Highdene, Stanley Street in South Shields and Palmersdene, Grange Road West in Jarrow. |

what is Anchor Homes ? |
|
Highdene and Palmersdene are residential care homes, which provide choice, independence and the highest standard of care. Residents have his or her own flat-let with their own furniture. Meals are provided, laundry done and full 24-hour care is at hand. |
